Air fryer Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry

Air Fryer Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry

Crispy, golden, cheesy, and ready in about 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

  • 4–6 slices ham

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss)

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard, optional

  • Sesame seeds or dried herbs, optional

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3 minutes.

  2. Lay out the puff pastry and cut it into 4–6 rectangles.

  3. Spread a little Dijon mustard over each piece, if using.

  4. Add ham and cheese to one half of each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.

  5. Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.

  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or herbs if desired.

  7. Place in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 8–12 minutes, until puffed and deeply golden.

  8. Let them cool for 2–3 minutes before serving—the cheese will be very hot.

Tip: Don’t overcrowd the basket. Cook in batches if necessary so the pastry gets crisp rather than steamy.
