Crispy Golden-Brown Air-Fried Cauliflower
Ingredients
-
1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
½ cup all-purpose flour
-
½ cup breadcrumbs or panko
-
½ tsp paprika
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
¼ tsp chili flakes, optional
-
2–3 tbsp water, as needed
-
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Method
-
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes.
-
Wash the cauliflower florets and dry them thoroughly.
-
In a bowl, toss the cauliflower with olive oil.
-
Mix the flour, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chili flakes in a separate bowl.
-
Add the seasoned coating to the cauliflower and toss well. If needed, add a few teaspoons of water so the coating adheres.
-
Arrange the florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
-
Air fry for 12–16 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until deeply golden and crisp.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Extra-crispy tip
Use panko breadcrumbs and avoid overcrowding the basket. For even browning, give the florets a light spray of oil before cooking.
Serve with garlic yogurt, ranch, spicy mayo, or a squeeze of fresh lemon.
