Crispy Golden-Brown Air-Fried Cauliflower

Crispy Golden-Brown Air-Fried Cauliflower

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs or panko

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp chili flakes, optional

  • 2–3 tbsp water, as needed

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes.

  2. Wash the cauliflower florets and dry them thoroughly.

  3. In a bowl, toss the cauliflower with olive oil.

  4. Mix the flour, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and chili flakes in a separate bowl.

  5. Add the seasoned coating to the cauliflower and toss well. If needed, add a few teaspoons of water so the coating adheres.

  6. Arrange the florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.

  7. Air fry for 12–16 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until deeply golden and crisp.

  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Extra-crispy tip

Use panko breadcrumbs and avoid overcrowding the basket. For even browning, give the florets a light spray of oil before cooking.

Serve with garlic yogurt, ranch, spicy mayo, or a squeeze of fresh lemon.
