Easy 20-Minute Recipe
Using store-bought dough makes this appetizer quick to prepare while delivering a rich, bakery-style result.
Ingredients
-
1 tube (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough or pizza dough
-
4–6 sticks low-moisture mozzarella cheese (cut into bite-sized cubes)
-
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
-
2 cloves garlic, finely minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
-
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
½ tsp Italian seasoning
1.Prep the Oven & Baking Sheet:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a skillet/baking dish.
2.Portion & Stuff the Dough:Seal tightly to prevent leaks.
Flatten each piece of biscuit or pizza dough into a small disk. Place a block of mozzarella cheese in the center, wrap the dough over the cheese, and pinch the edges firmly to seal into a ball.
3.Brush with Garlic Herb Butter:
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and Italian seasoning. Arrange the dough bites seam-side down on your baking tray and brush generously with the garlic butter mixture.
4.Bake & Top with Parmesan:
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven, brush with any remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle grated Parmesan over the top before serving warm with warm marinara sauce.
